About Kikibooks

The idea of Kikibooks was first conceived by Bill and Cathy Page around the year 2000. The plan was to create a series of travel books designed to appeal to children.

These books would help parents determine which places their children were most interested in seeing when they traveled. It would also give children a sense of recognition when they arrived at a location where they had seen Kiki.

Since Boston was the closest major city, it was chosen as the topic for the first book.

After that a lot of effort was done to take pictures of Kiki in places that would appeal to children in Boston. The idea to make a physical book has been postponed and instead this web site was created.

Kiki was designed and sewn by Cathy Page, as was much of Kiki's clothing. The photographs were all taken by Bill and Cathy Page at the various sites. All photo manipulation has been done by Bill Page, who has also designed the web site with some help from others at Countyline Software. The appendix information was researched and written by Cathy Page.

Please give us some feedback on how you like this site. We hope that if Kiki's visit to Boston is popular, future destinations will be added.

If you operate a travel site for children and would like to invite Kiki to visit, we would also like to hear from you.

Kikibooks privacy policy can be found here.
